Frequently asked questions
How old is too old for a caravan tyre?
Check the four-digit date code on the sidewall — the first two numbers are the week, the last two the year. Most makers recommend replacing tyres around five to six years old regardless of tread, especially if you can see cracking.
Can I just use car tyres on my caravan?
It depends on the van's weight. Heavier caravans need tyres with the right load rating — often light truck or C-rated tyres. We'll check the compliance plate and match the load rating.
